The kids had a blast together, and everyone enjoyed taking a spin on the jet ski down at the lake house. Lots of laughter. The meal Saturday night was amazing. But I think the part I will remember most is hearing and sharing the stories about where God has taken each of us on our journey in life, and the blessings and joy we have as followers of Christ. We had a great time of family worship Sunday morning.
After returning from Lake Anna to their house in Fairfax Station, we grabbed our bags and the Mlezivas dropped us at the Metro station for our expedition to Washington DC. (Thanks to the Mlezivas for storing our RV for the week and the wonderful hosptiality you showed us!)
We were able to use some of the hotel points accumulated over the years to stay for free right down in DC, on Pennsylvania Ave, literally a few blocks from the White House and Smithsonian. In the picture with the White House on the left, you can actually see our hotel on the right edge of the picture (big brown building).
